Gladys Makunyanga

Office Assistant

Gladys Makunganya has served as a GBV Clinic and Office Assistant at the Gender and Justice Unit for 5 years. In this role, she plays a key part in the day-to-day coordination of the Legal Clinic, supporting client services and assisting with the implementation of programming. Gladys is often the first point of contact for walk-in clients; she records case details, provides initial guidance, and connects clients to appropriate support services.

She also contributes to the planning and delivery of community outreach activities, including mobilising participants and ensuring smooth coordination of field events. Her role is central to maintaining an accessible, responsive, and client-friendly environment at the office. Through her work, Gladys helps ensure that survivors of gender-based violence receive timely support and information in a safe and welcoming space.
