Bridget Kaphamtengo

Bridget Kaphamtengo is a seasoned Finance and Human Resource professional with nine years of experience in financial management, grants administration, and organizational operations within Malawi’s nonprofit and private sectors. Since joining the Gender and Justice Unit (GJU) in 2020, she has played a pivotal role in strengthening the organization’s financial systems, ensuring donor compliance, and promoting effective human resource management practices that align with GJU’s feminist and social justice values.

Bridget is highly skilled in donor financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and strategic financial planning. She also oversees HR processes, including recruitment and performance management, as well as safeguarding and staff capacity development, to foster a transparent and supportive workplace culture. Her expertise extends to systems improvement, policy development, and audit coordination, contributing to GJU’s growth and operational excellence.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from Blantyre International University and a Certificate in Human Resource Management from the University of Cape Town. Bridget is driven by a passion for accountability, gender equality, and sustainable organizational development — values that continue to shape her contributions to GJU’s mission of advancing social justice and gender equality in Malawi.
