Annabel is an advocate at the Johannesburg Society of Advocates. Her preferred areas of practice include constitutional law, human rights law, administrative law and commercial law. Annabel holds BA, Honours, LLB and LLM degrees. Before joining the Bar, Annabel ran a health rights litigation programme in the non-profit sector, coordinating litigation in several southern and eastern African countries, including in Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. She clerked for Justice Thembile Skweyiya at the Constitutional Court of South Africa. She has worked as a consultant in health and human rights and as a researcher at Lund University and the Raoul Wallenberg Institute for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law in Sweden, amongst others.
